Agriculture / Horticulture Teacher

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacherWe are looking for an agriculture / horticulture teacher to guide the next generation of primary producers in Taranaki.

Position commencing on 28 January

• .We are a rural-based, co-ed secondary school based in Waitara, Taranaki.

We have a school farm of 3.3 hectares that currently runs 40 East Friesian / Wiltshire cross ewes and 2 steers.Attributes required : A solid understanding of agriculture / horticulture skills.Ability to communicate well with teenagers.Be able to work as part of a close-knit and excellence-seeking science team.Ability & openness to teach junior general science, or other supporting subjects.Preferred : Farm management capability.We welcome enquiries and applications from trained teachers as well as talented people in the primary sector who are looking at a career change as we can support you through teacher training.How to applyApplications should be submitted in the form of a CV and cover letter, including contact details of three referees.Applications and any enquiries should be emailed to us.
