We are on the lookout for a Registered Teacher to join our fantastic team of kaiako. As a kaiako with us, you will have the incredible opportunity to inspire and empower our tamariki, enriching their learning experiences and fostering their growth.

About us

The natural environment of Busy Bees New Plymouth allows children to spontaneously connect with Papatuanku right here in our own outdoor space. Tamariki take on the role of Kaitiakitanga, through this they learn various concepts like garden to table and sustainability. Connecting with nature is a favourite activity among our children at Busy Bees New Plymouth and therefore our outdoor play areas are open the whole day for children to run, jump, hide, create, and have fun!

Our ideal candidate will have :

• Buckets of enthusiasm and steady energy
• Skill in planning, curriculum, reflective practice, and regular and emergent reviews
• A people-first approach that builds strong relationships with staff and parents / whanau
• An ECE or Primary qualification and NZ ECE teacher registration
• A nurturing, caring presence and a passion for helping young children thrive
• The ability to build responsive relationships with tamariki and their whanau
• Clear, warm communication
