Working under the guidance of the Head Chef and Chefs, you will be involved in the daily preparation of food, producing high-quality products while adhering to all food hygiene practices and health and safety policies.
This role is not for the faint-hearted – our outlets are busy!
We're looking for kitchen dynamos who laugh in the face of hard work and have experience cooking in high-volume kitchens.
Amidst the kitchen chaos, we've crafted a place where fun and support reign supreme—like a food fight but with camaraderie instead of condiments!
About the rolePreparation of menu items and ski area cuisine adhering to company recipes and Head Chef instructions to ensure consistency.All mise en place is prepared fresh with adequate prep, in time for service.Stock control and planning for variances in trading, minimization of wastage.Communicating with and serving customers.Maintaining a clean and tidy section and kitchen.Completing tasks and record keeping required by the Food Control Plan.Requesting stock via the Storeman or Supply Manager, and delivering to the kitchen.Assist in other areas of the department as required.Washing dishes, scrubbing pots, and sterilizing equipment.Good communication with other kitchen team members and FOH team.About YouPrevious experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen is essential.Qualifications are not essential, but any Food Safety or Basic Cookery certificates are desirable.Must understand basic food safety practices.Ability to multitask effortlessly.High level of personal presentation and hygiene.As kaitiaki of the mountains, we have an enduring commitment to our environment, people, and communities to ensure they benefit from our presence.
