An opportunity has arisen for a part-time Curatorial Assistant to support the Head of Curatorial and Learning in the successful running of Auckland Art Gallery's Curatorial department.
The position will also support other curatorial staff on the delivery of the Gallery's exhibitions, research and acquisitions programme in

Passionate about art and artists, you will have excellent administrative and organisational skills.
You will be comfortable working in a support role to a senior executive and will thrive working in a dynamic, hard-working and creative environment.
Calm under pressure, you will be flexible, well-organised and a great communicator.
Strong relationship-building skills are essential as you will work on team projects with a diverse range of people both within and outside of the organisation.
You will take pride in demonstrating professional integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
You will have :
A graduate qualification in Art History or related discipline
Experience working in a support role to curators or academics as an intern or research assistant is desirable
Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
Experience keeping detailed records, including minute taking and report writing
Experience using collection management software (preferably Vernon CMS) is desirable
Experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook)

This role comes with a fixed-term, part-time contract
