We are currently seeking Female Community Support Workers to meet our service user care and cultural needs.
Support work is fun, people-facing, challenging, and very rewarding, and it is also a deeply empathetic journey.
It is more than a job; it is an opportunity to provide invaluable support, led by the people you will be supporting.
Responsibilities
Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing)
Assisting with household management and meal preparation
Supporting exercise programmes
Assisting with accessing the community
Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares
Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers
Medication support

Employment Type
Permanent Full time (30+ Hours) or Part Time (Up to 29 Hours)
We offer a range of employment opportunities including part-time and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.
Days of work
As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work.
We are looking for people who are comfortable with covering from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 7 am – 8 pm.
The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support.
Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.

You are a calm but confident-natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of our service users.
There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling.
It is rewarding when you are part of the support that enables a person to live their best lives in the community.
Candidate Pre-Requisites
Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred.
Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury
Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver\'s License is a must)
Ability to drive a mobility van (training available)
A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided)
Flexibility to travel anywhere in Auckland
Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
Benefits
Pay Band : $24.13 - $30.78 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
