HR Operations Lead

At Aurora Energy, we’re looking for a proactive and forward-thinking HR Operations Lead to join our People Team in Dunedin.

This role is all about strengthening how we deliver HR services across the organisation. You’ll partner with managers and leaders to provide trusted advice, build capability, and help shape people practices that support our enterprise goals. Working at the heart of the business, you’ll make a real difference by ensuring our HR systems, processes, and ways of working continue to evolve. Using data and insights, you’ll help create efficient, responsive, and future-ready HR solutions.

We’re seeking someone curious and energised by continuous improvement, with a genuine interest in how technology and AI are shaping the future of work.

About You

We’re open to a range of backgrounds and experiences. Ideally, you’ll bring :

• Demonstrated experience in HR operations or a generalist HR role, ideally within a complex or fast-paced environment.
• Strong coaching skills and confidence working with managers and leaders.
• A practical, outcomes-focused approach to enabling business success.
• Experience using HR systems and data to inform decisions.
• Interest in emerging technologies, including AI, and their impact on workplaces.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A collaborative style and a passion for enhancing the employee experience.
