This small but professional company has a friendly family environment that works on a variety of vehicles from European, to 4x4 SUV and Utilities (Bakkies for the South Africans) and a range of largely late model vehicles of varying brands.The role and key responsibilitiesWe're seeking a skilled Automotive Technician with good general diagnostic expertise, a current AVI certification (WOF) and the ability to fault find, service and repair a wide range of light vehicles.

This is a hands-on role.

While not a front-line role, this is a family business, and while there is front-line customer support, Paihia has a friendly community, and a willingness to communicate with customers from time to time on technical issues would prove helpful.

If you like fishing and the outdoors, even better.Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across a range of vehicle makes / modelsConduct Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections to NZTA standardsCarry out routine maintenance, servicing, and mechanical repairsLiaise with customers to explain repairs and provide trusted adviceMaintain workshop safety and equipment standardsStay updated on evolving automotive technologies and techniquesBe friendly and fit in with this smaller but close family businessSkills soughtValid AVI certification (WOF)Good general diagnostic skills and experience in general automotive repairsStrong teamwork ethic with clear communication abilitiesValid driver's licenseTrade qualifications or equivalent experience accepted, providing the appropriate skills are heldIn returnWork where others vacation!
