Our company is a well-established liquor retail store committed to providing excellent customer service and a wide range of quality products. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team and lead day-to-day store operations.

About the Role

The Store Manager will be responsible for supervising all store activities, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, maintaining stock levels, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for managing retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing
• Lead, train and supervise store staff
• Provide excellent customer service and handle customer queries / complaints
• Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing laws and health & safety requirements
• Manage inventory, stock rotation and supplier orders
• Monitor sales targets and profitability
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising and product displays
• Manage cash handling and banking procedures

Strong leadership and communication skills

Knowledge of liquor licensing regulations and age-verification responsibilities

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required

A positive attitude and focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences

Qualifications / Requirements

LCQ and Manager’s Certificate – Preferred

Relevant qualification or relevant experience

Legal right to work in New Zealand

Pay Rate - $30 to $ 35 Per hour and 30 hours per week
