Are you an engaging and experienced facilitator who knows how to bring learning to life?

If you're passionate about helping leaders and managers grow their skills and confidence, this could be your next great adventure.

We're looking for a Senior Trainer to join our Capability and Culture team at DOC.

You'll spend most of your time in delivery mode - facilitating our flagship Kia Mahuri Totara Manager Induction Programme and other engaging, practical learning experiences that build leadership and management capability across DOC.

While facilitation is your superpower, you'll also bring a thoughtful approach to designing and refining content that supports our evolving leadership development needs.

What you'll be doing :

• Facilitating engaging, face-to-face and online learning experiences focused on leadership and management development.
• Reviewing and redesigning current workshops and designing new workshops to best meet the needs of DOC's people leaders.
• Collaborating across DOC and to deliver meaningful development.
• Supporting DOC's wider strategies including Diversity & Inclusion and Wellbeing.

We are looking for a strong senior-level trainer who can hit the ground running.

If you have some of following, we are keen to hear from you :

• experience with both in-person and online training, facilitation and learning design.
• the ability to connect and build relationships with a wide range of people.
• basic confident proficiency in te reo Maori, and an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Maori tikanga.
• strengths in using technology, such as the Microsoft Office suite, to deliver online training.
• strong written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• a high level of initiative.
• a passion for Te Papa Atawhai's kaupapa is essential.

Desirable :

• a broad understanding of DOC's work or other conservation mahi.

The salary range for this position is $92,912 - $117,570 pro-rata with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.

Secondments should offer the opportunity to build capability in line with your development plan.

You must seek the support of your line manager (minimum Tier 4) in writing before applying for a secondment opportunity and attach it to your application.
