OverviewThe Associate Network Engineer is responsible for supporting the deployment and operations of network infrastructure.
The candidate will be assisting with the installation, monitoring, troubleshooting and testing of network systems and solutions.
Monitors and configures network components to ensure security, and resolves network incidents.
Ensure that network activities are documented appropriately and in compliance with the required procedures and standards.
Familiar with core networking technologies and trends, network standards and network routing protocols.
The candidate may be required to work on a rotational on-call or shift basis.

Possesses analytical skills and works well in a fast-paced environment.Role & ResponsibilitiesConfigure & Administer NetworksUpdate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning of network communication systemsDetermine impact of network requirements on existing architecture, work processes and systemsDraft technical documents for processes, technology and devicesAssist in determining infrastructure systems specifications, input / output (I / O) processes and working parameters for hardware and / or software compatibilityConfigure, test, automate, integrate, model and analyse the Software Defined Network (SDN) infrastructure within the IT ecosystemProvide suggestions on the direction for Local Area Network (LAN) and / or Wide Area Network (WAN), internet, wireless and remote access servicesParticipate in technical design reviews of applicable solutionsConsolidate network data based on key parameters or metricsAssist in the development of capacity planning models, load-balance and / or redundancy solutionsAdminister tuning of networks for optimisationReview facility bandwidth requirements and system inter-dependenciesDocument network activities in accordance with organisational policiesMonitor network activity and log technical issuesMaintain awareness of emerging software and / or hardware solutionsSupport Network OperationsConduct regular maintenance, patches and upgrades to the networkPrepare technical specifications and documents to procure network equipmentPerform routine backups and administer disaster recovery protocolsAssist in the development of disaster recovery plansManage Network SecurityMonitor indicators of compromise or breach in network securityTrack and document network security incidentsConfigure network security across software and / or hardware componentsCoordinate and configure network access and controlsResolve Network IncidentsClassify and prioritise network incidents for troubleshootingDocument network incidents and resolution methodsTroubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network issuesRequirementsBachelors Degree in any IT studies - Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Information TechnologyAt least 5 years of experience is preferred in IT network deployment and maintenanceAdvantage to have ITIL certificationMust have at least CCNA or equivalent certification, advantage to have CCNPPossess IT network project management skill with technical knowledge in IT networkCandidate with strong network troubleshooting skill will be an advantageOpen to be on 24 / 7 standby
