At DGC, we manufacture exceptionally high-quality and well-regarded infant formulas, feeding babies and supporting families all over the world.About the Role : The role of Assistant Accountant offers a dynamic mix of responsibilities across financial processing, performance reporting, and operational support.

You'll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting capital project and fixed asset administration, and contribute to production and financial reporting.

The role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety and is eager to grow within a high-performing finance team.

This role is perfect for a graduate accountant who has 2 to 3 years of experience, ideally in manufacturing, and has already been completing Assistant Accountant-level duties.ResponsibilitiesMaintain Capital Projects, process asset capitalisations, and fixed asset reporting.Process production works orders and inventory reporting.Month-end balance sheet reconciliations.Assist in preparing financial data for internal reporting and decision-making.Provide support and backup to the other Finance functions.Contribute to the effective management of Finance projects.Participate in continuous improvement activities.Contribute to and participate in a positive health and safety culture.Attend, contribute to, and complete all assigned personal and professional development training.Carry out other duties as and when required.What you'll bring to the role : A diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred but not essential.Ability to cope in a fast-paced environment.Experience in manufacturing is an advantage.Work well in a cooperative and inclusive team environment.Numerical proficiency : Comfort with numbers and basic accounting principles is essential.Attention to detail : Accuracy in financial records and transactions is non-negotiable.Organisational skills : Managing ledgers, invoices, and reports requires strong time management.Communication skills : You'll often liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams.Tech-savviness : Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office productsWhat's in it for you : Progressive organisation.Opportunity to develop your career.Competitive market salary.Discretionary annual bonus.Employee Benefit Insurance (income protection, trauma, and health).
