WARC was set up in 1977 by a group of like-minded people concerned at the large amounts of valuable materials being dumped in landfills, when they could be reused and repurposed. We are a community-led charity run by amazing volunteers. Our centre is based in the suburb of New Lynn in Auckland, and is open for the public to collect and repurpose.
This role includes :
All volunteers will be inducted into the new role by our Volunteer Coordinator. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for training and ongoing support. By the end of the induction, volunteers will know our health and safety policies and have a basic understanding of how the centre runs. They will then be rostered on alongside experienced volunteers to learn from.

Time commitment :
We are open Saturday 10 AM - 1 PM and Wednesday 12 PM - 2 PM, and closed over school holidays. Volunteers can choose which day they work when we are open, how many times they would like to work in a term, and if they would like to do a full shift or half a shift. A roster is created based on the volunteers' availability at the beginning of each term.
