Reporting to the Stores Manager, this position is a day shift role (7 : 55am – 16 : 25 pm)In this fast-paced, physical role you will train to become skilled in all three Logistics areas - Palletising, Inwards Goods and Dispatch – with emphasis on quality, safety, and stock accuracy.We're committed to the development of our people and have a dedicated career pathway for this position, including a funded qualification for a New Zealand Certificate in Distribution (Level 3) and experience to set you up for continued growth!
NZQA qualificationWhat you'll be responsible for : Operating a range of machines (including robotic palletizers, automated pallet dispensers, wrapping machines and conveyors)Operating manual handling machines (e.g. fork hoist, turret order picker) which will include working at heightsGenerating labels and doing quality checks when receiving productAssisting with inbound and outbound deliveries (including devanning import containers)Picking required stock correctly and within agreed timeframesUploading stock movements to the systemCompleting regular cycle countsOther duties and tasks as and when requiredWhat you'll bring to the role?
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely, effectively and productivelyForklift license is a requirementPrevious Stores experience or MPI Accreditation would be an advantageProven reliability and a positive attendance recordYou must be able to meet the safety and competency requirements to operate a fork hoist on our siteAbility to comfortably work at heights (i.e : working with ladders and platforms)Excellent communication skills – you enjoy keeping others in the loop and working as part of a team!
Strong attention to detail and the ability to read / complete paperwork correctlyProven experience and confidence using computer systemsPositivity and a solutions-focused approach– nothing is ever a problem!
