Overview

Thematic is a fully remote, fast-growing SaaS company with staff in New Zealand and the US. Thematic uses AI to analyze customer feedback to tell companies how they can increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. Our customers include well-known brands such as DoorDash, Jetstar, Google and Electronic Arts.

We are looking for talented developers to help build Thematic across our tech stack. We welcome people who fit anywhere along the visual design → frontend → backend → infrastructure spectrum, and this role focuses on backend and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and maintaining Thematic's product and the infrastructure it runs on
  • Ensuring we have monitoring in place to diagnose issues and keep systems running
  • Ensuring automated testing and CI / CD help us ship safely and efficiently
  • Validating and iterating on projects to deliver value to users and customers
  • Collaborating closely with team members to achieve team and company goals
  • Helping decide on technical and product roadmaps and balancing the two
  • Working with others across Thematic (marketing & customer success) to deliver value to customers

Requirements

What we are looking for

  • Passionate about building products people get value from
  • 4 or more years of experience in at least one of the core technologies we use
  • Backend (Python, Flask)
  • AWS Infrastructure (ECS, Batch, Lambda, monitoring, compliance)
  • Experience using AI tools and building AI systems, or interest in pursuing AI system development
  • Experience working in a remote environment with a distributed team
  • Based in New Zealand
  • Enjoy continuously learning and growing
