Plc Programmer

OverviewWe are currently seeking an Intermediate Automation PLC Programmer to join a 3-person team for a full-time role in the Tauranga area, working for an exciting company with a leading IoT agri product in New Zealand.ResponsibilitiesResearching, designing, implementing, testing, commissioning, and documenting new hardware and software systems.Programming of PLC and HMI used for the companies software.Providing remote and onsite technical supportBeing a member of the after-hours on-call team.Troubleshooting and debugging performance issuesWorking with vendors and hardware suppliers to implement and support systemsSupporting the hardware engineering team and software team.Following industry-standard processes and proceduresConsulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.Provide training to users and fellow staff membersQualifications2+ years of PLC programming and electrical engineeringBachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, MechatronicsKnowledge and interest in computer systems, servers, cloud systems and the latest technologiesFamiliarity with a wide range of hardware devices, display, IoT devices and network technologiesStrong understanding of wireless, cellular, Bluetooth, Lorawan and telemetry solutions.Strong understanding of embedded software solutions and industrial PLC'sExcellent customer service skillsThe ability to learn new technologies quicklyExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work well individually and in a team environmentStrong analytical and strong creative problem-solving skillsThe ability to communicate complex procedures to other colleaguesGood personal time managementAn ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with deadlines and work under pressureAttention to detail and desire to probe further into data
