To support the growth and development of our core markets business, and to ensure we are well connected to New Zealand investors, NZX owns Smartshares (Smart), issuer of Smartshares Exchange Traded Funds, and manager of the SuperLife KiwiSaver scheme.

NZX also provides wealth management services for New Zealand advisers via its Wealth Technologies business.NZX is looking for a Software Developer to deliver BAU maintenance and enhancements for existing solutions and applications in the Energy IT technology systems, as well as contributing to major electricity market projects.You WillDevelop applications using Oracle PL / SQL, Oracle SQL, Oracle APEX and Shell Script.Create & maintain appropriate technical documentation to assist in various stages of software development.Apply technical skills to provide solutions to business problems achieving business objectives.Evaluate requirements and technical limitations with users.Liaise with technical architects & other project or team members to ensure technical consistency.Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and required training sessions.To be successful in this roleComputer Science degree or equivalent industry experience.Completed projects with extensive use of Oracle SQL.Experience developing Oracle SQL, Oracle PL / SQL and Oracle APEX solutions / applications.Exposure to or experience in New Zealand Electricity Markets (preferable).

Experience working within a team of cross-functional individuals.In addition to this you will have the ability to document information clearly and concisely, have impeccable communication skills, and excellent time and work management.This is a full-time, permanent role based in Wellington.
