OverviewSam's Bakery & Cafe in Foxton is looking for full-time Bakers to join our team.

This is a full-time permanent position; you will work 30-40 hours per week on the roster (with a minimum 30 hours guaranteed).

We are open 7 days a week from 5 : 30 am.

Please be aware that you may need to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays if required.Key dutiesChecking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients.Kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing, and shaping dough and pastry goods.Preparing pastry fillings.Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products.Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing.Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits.Emptying, cleaning, and greasing baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment.RequirementsAt least 3 years of relevant working experience or a qualification at NZQF level 4 or higher.Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, nights, and public holidays when required.Drug-free with a clean police record.How to applyIf you believe you are the person we are looking for, please do not hesitate to apply by sending your CV and cover letter.Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa with unlimited work rights.Apply nowApply now for this role or get more information by contacting Sam's Bakery & Cafe.
