Immediate startAuckland officesInitial 1-3 month assignmentGreen Light is seeking a motivated Storage Resident Engineer based in Auckland, NZ. You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the existing infrastructure at a customer account.
Responsibilities :
- Reviews configuration and environment with your IT team.
- Performs evaluations of new features and functionalities with your IT team.
- Performs gap analysis on your IT team to understand skill development needed to become operationally proficient.
- Responds to and clarifies questions on impact to daily operations of new technology.
- Provides informal knowledge transfer of new technology specific to your environment.
- Advises on environment evolution, technology direction, and future state.
- Administration, problem management, change management, continual service improvement
- Provides storage infrastructure management strategies and solutions.
- Advises on storage infrastructure configuration and environment leading practices.
- Delivers troubleshooting assistance and provides technical details for probable cause analysis.
- Performs reviews on current configuration(s) with your IT team to diagnose technical issues.
- Coordinates efforts to resolve issues and provides escalations to gain faster resolution and reduce unplanned downtime.
Requirements :
- ITIL V3 foundation certified preferred
- Networking infrastructure & Fiber Channel experience.
- Expertise with Hyper-V, DELL platform - Powerstore, PowerVault etv
- Data centre migration implementations for block and file share data
- Knowledge of VMware, Commvault, NetApp, etc
- Experience with technical solutions for support data migrations
