About the engagement :

Green Light are currently looking for a skilled  Senior Storage Engineer (Commvault)  to join our delivery team in NZ. The Storage engineer will be responsible in the design, implementation, and management of the storage environment. Preference is Auckland but open to other locations in NZ for the growing team.

Looking for Commvault backup specialists / engineers and who can deliver the management of key backup infrastructure services and associated operational activities in a large enterprise / government environment.

Responsibilities : -

• Review the Storage & Data Protection & backup services designs and make recommendations for upgrades, designs and implementations.
• Administration tasks related to Commvault backup services.
• Daily backup operations tasks including complete outcome-based operations and maintenance of data.
• backup and restore operational support (daily backups, recovery tasks, health checks, reporting, monitoring, etc)
• Implement and test Commvault upgrades.
• Maintain backup services design and implementation documentation.
• Contribute to IT Support process and policy development. Ensure adherence to processes, procedures and security requirements

Requirements : -

• 7 years of professional experience within the last 5 years working as a backup administrator using, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting CommVault data backup systems for enterprise environments.
• 2+ years of experience within storage solutions from midrange to enterprise class storage arrays for enterprise environments. (Hitachi enterprise-class storage knowledge is preferred)
• Proven experience administering, configuring, and managing large scale back-up and data protection solutions.
• Strong individual contributor and team player in a professional environment
• Highly effective in managing multiple, concurrent activities, while understanding and managing priorities, dependencies, and risk
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Good initiative in developing and improving systems and procedures.
• Ability to independently develop and determine approaches to solutions in a practical and creative manner.
