In AED you will work alongside an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist, Advanced Clinician Physiotherapist, Senior Physiotherapist and a Senior Occupational Therapist.
Our Acute Medical Team is led by a Practice Supervisor and currently consists of 15 staff working across AED, General Medicine, Respiratory, Cardiothoracics, Haematology and Oncology.Our wider Physiotherapy team consists of 91.2FTE, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings.For more information on living and working in Auckland click hereAbout youAs the ideal person for this role you will have the following skills and attributes : New Zealand registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing CertificateAt least 6 years clinical experience with equivalent of 2-3 years experience working in the emergency department and / or short stay clinical decisions units for a senior positionAt least 8 years clinical experience with equivalent of 4 years experience working in the emergency department and / or short stay clinical decisions units for an Advanced ClinicianExperience in leading and contributing to service development initiativesA flexible and proactive approachExperience in supporting staff and studentsEffective communication and inter-personal skillsEffective time management, prioritisation, and organisation skillsUnderstanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to provide culturally safe care in the acute hospital environmentRegardless of your experience, you will receive a thorough orientation and be well-supported in your role.
