Are you an inspiring leader who can take social sciences education to the next level? Tangaroa College is seeking a visionary, full-time head of learning (HOL) for social sciences , overseeing commerce and tourism programmes. This permanent position begins February 2026 (start date negotiable).

With 2x management units

We are looking for someone who :

• Has proven experience in leading and managing curriculum change , with the ability to align programmes to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Is well-organised and skilled in implementing effective systems that drive excellence in teaching and learning.
• Can coach and mentor staff in leadership pedagogy, building capability and confidence across the team.
• Develops engaging, future-focused teaching programmes , incorporating e-learning strategies to inspire student success.
• Works collaboratively within a supportive, well-resourced department , fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
