Start term 1, 2026.OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and passionate outdoor education teacher to lead our Y10–13 programmes.

The ideal candidate will hold current outdoor industry qualifications and have proven experience in leading a diverse range of outdoor pursuits.

The ability to teach outdoor education up to NCEA Level 3 is essential.ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the Y10–13 outdoor education programmes.Demonstrate strong student behaviour management and organisational skills.Collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to the co-curricular life of the college.Possess and apply current outdoor industry qualifications; be able to teach outdoor education up to NCEA Level 3.Experience in managing budgets is advantageous.QualificationsCurrent outdoor industry qualifications.Proven experience in leading a diverse range of outdoor pursuits.Ability to teach outdoor education up to NCEA Level 3.Highly organised, team-oriented, with strong behaviour management skills.Budget management experience is an advantage.Botany Downs Secondary College is a Microsoft Global Showcase School with modern facilities in East Auckland.
