Job descriptionUse diagnostic and test equipment to locate electrical and electronic faults in vehicles Dismantle and remove faulty electrical and electronic assemblies and components Install new electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles Connect power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to appropriate power supplies Adjust engine control systems and electronic timing for optimal performance Test, repair, or replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators, and starter motors Repair and replace faulty ignition systems and damaged or worn electrical wiring Replace defective parts including fuses, lamps, switches, and relays Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards and safety regulations Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience as an automotive electrician Experience working with both modern vehicle electronics and traditional wiring systems Attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid NZ driver's licence preferred Pay rate : NZD $ – $ per hour, depending on experience Minimum guaranteed hours : 30 hours per week Workdays : Monday to Saturday Work hours : Between 8 : 00am and 5 : 00pm Closing Date for Applications : 09 / 12 / 2025 Start Date (approx.) : December / 25 or ASAP Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays as required. before 09 / 12 / 2025.
