The Lions Cancer Trust runs a free Mobile Skin Screening Bus, offering full skin checks to people who often find cost or access a barrier. By volunteering your time and skills, you’ll bring vital care directly into communities, removing the first financial barrier of a full skin check and enabling early detection and treatment of melanoma.
You may only be called upon 1 or 2 days each year, but your input will be invaluable.
You will spend your volunteer day screening New Zealanders who may normally find it hard to access a full skin screening service.
Administration on the day will be provided by non-clinical volunteers, allowing you to concentrate fully on skin screening.
We are looking for skilled volunteers who can commit to 1 or 2 days when are Skin Cancer Screening Bus is in their area. This may only be once or twice a year, but our volunteer screeners are essential for the success of our mission.
Requirements
A current practicing license and experience and training in skin checks is a must!A great attitude and ability to put people at their ease.
