Arts and Culture Programmer

Overview

You’ll be joining a team that drives arts and culture activities in local communities - ensuring Aucklanders gain real benefit from their engagement with the arts. As an Arts and Culture Programmer, we want you to help shape, develop and deliver the programmes that engage with the community right through from inception to exhibition or show. As part of this you’ll be responsible for engaging with local networks, artists and creative Aucklanders and community groups alike, and will utilise your passion for the arts to shape creative programmes. This will be across South Auckland.

About you

Key factors we will consider when screening applicants for this role :

• Strong awareness of contemporary arts, culture, and public programming, with knowledge of current and emerging trends across Aotearoa.
• Proven curatorial or programming expertise in at least one arts discipline, audience segment, or delivery channel — performing arts experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership in creative portfolios or programmes, with the ability to balance artistic vision and community needs.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments with competing priorities.

Salary range : $75,000 - $80,000
