Wairewa Rūnanga represents the collective interests of Ngā Hapū o Wairewa and is one of the 18 Papatipu Rūnanga formally recognised under the Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Act 1996. Our mahi is grounded in our whakataukī :

We are seeking a confident, self-managing Pou Ārahi / EA / Secretariat for our Rūnanga. This is not an entry-level position, it\'s a leadership-aligned role for someone who thrives on independence, precision and relationship-based mahi.
You\'ll serve as the primary secretariat for the Wairewa Rūnanga Executive Committee, Te Kete o Wairewa (our commercial arm), and the Whānau Rūnanga hui . Your responsibilities include :
