Job description

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Administration Officer to join our team at the Highland Park Service Centre. If you enjoy supporting others, take pride in keeping operations running smoothly, and thrive in a busy, people‑focused environment—this could be the role for you.

What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana

This busy and varied role will see you managing the oversight of the booking and use of our meeting rooms, maintaining office and stationery supplies, arranging equipment servicing and building repairs, and taking responsibility for meeting bookings and minutes taking.

You will also be responsible for other administration duties required to ensure the smooth running of the centre, including working with Security to ensure that all visitors and contractors to the sites are inducted correctly, maintaining health and safety standards is a big focus of the role.

This will include fleet management (car repairs and WOF) and pick up of catering and transportation.

We’re looking for a proactive, flexible, and positive team player who can juggle multiple tasks while keeping a sense of humour. You’ll bring :

  • Strong administrative skills – Experience supporting a team in an administrative capacity.
  • Tech‑savviness – Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Quick learning ability – Confidence in learning new systems and software efficiently.
  • Attention to detail – Accuracy and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Communication skills – Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Adaptability – The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A valid Restricted NZ Driver Licence – With the ability to drive Ministry vehicles as needed.

Salary | Utu-ā-tau : $61,466.00 – $73,903.00

(starting salary depends on relevant skills, experience, and knowledge)
