Contract / Legal Specialist

Job descriptionPrepare, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and related documents Secure formal sign-off of contract terms Support internal stakeholders with legal queries and provide guidance on contract terms and risk mitigation Manage sub-consultant contractual relationships and compliance obligations Manage contract quality assurance processes and maintain the contracts database and templates Involvement in continual improvement projects Understanding of commercial contracting principles and professional service agreements Experience in contract management or legal support, ideally within a construction or architectural / engineering design firm Methodical, organised, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise High-level attention to detail and critical thinking Excellent communication skills, confident and articulate in business writing Ability to develop effective and professional documents, tools, and presentation materials A responsive and adaptive work style A legal qualification, such as a LLB or Legal Executive Diploma, is welcomed A flexible work environment, including part-time hours, flexible start and finish times, a one-day working from home policy, extended parental leave, and personalised return-to-work plans A title frame programme that promotes internal progression and recognition A diverse and inclusive culture – Jasmax is an equal opportunity employer and proud Gold Supporter of the Pride Pledge

Jasmax is a multi-award-winning architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. With over 250 staff members, Jasmax offers multi-disciplinary expertise and integrated design solutions across architecture, interior design, urban design and landscape architecture.
