Job descriptionBachelor’s degree required 5+ years of healthcare IT experience with Epic infrastructure and application coordination Experience with HL7 standards and healthcare integration tools (FHIR experience preferred) Knowledge of managed file transfer (MFT) protocols and security best practices Familiarity with ITIL service management processes (Change, Configuration, Incident, Problem Management) Epic certifications in Bridges and / or Data Courier preferred Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and complex change initiatives Strong understanding of data governance and HIPAA compliance requirements
HealthTECHResourcesisseekinganexperienced Epic Clinical Applications Manager / Epic Environment Manager for a contract-to-hire or direct hire placement with a premier healthcare system in California. This role is remote for contract-to-hire, or hybrid onsite for FTE. Great opportunity to lead critical Epic environment management and clinical application integration initiatives.
Epic Clinical Applications Manager Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Epic environment planning, build migrations, upgrades, refresh activities, and change control processes
- Manage HL7 interface architecture and integration tools including Epic Bridges and FHIR connections
- Coordinate Epic system updates, maintenance windows, and upgrade readiness activities
- Administer Epic support tools including Sherlock and Nova for system maintenance
- Support Data Courier operations and data migration functionsEnsure interface solutions comply with data governance, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
- Track and document environment versions, patches, and maintenance schedules
- Coordinate managed file transfers including scheduling, security protocols, and troubleshooting
- Act as liaison between application teams, Epic Hosting, and infrastructure teams
- Participate in Epic Release Authorization processes and upgrade committees
- Lead testing and coordination of downtime / recovery processes for Epic environments
