About the role
Manage customer enquiries, create and follow up on quotes, read construction / building consent drawings, and use building estimate software.
Liaise with customers, colleagues, and suppliers while supporting sales and operations to deliver accurate, timely solutions and a strong customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Manage customer, colleague, and supplier interactions via phone, email, and face-to-face
Maintain high levels of customer service with a focus on sales
Accurately estimate quantities from construction / building consent drawings
Provide timely quotes to meet customer specifications
Follow up on active quotes and help build a strong sales pipeline
Coordinate with operations to schedule and dispatch orders efficiently (achieve full DIFOT)
Support the team and contribute to company growth
Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8 hours / day (e.g., 7 : 30am–4 : 00pm or 8 : 30am–5 : 00pm – flexible)
Knowledge of, or experience in, the steel or construction industry (preferred)
Experience in customer service and sales
Ability to read construction / building consent drawings
Experience using building estimate software
Intermediate to advanced computer skills and strong numerical ability
