The Role | Mo tenei turanga mahi
Join our team as a Senior Addictions Practitioner at AOD service in Wairarapa.
The AOD service works with tangata whai ora or taiohi that present moderate to complex needs.
We are seeking a skilled clinician to join our team.
You will be comfortable with assessment writing, facilitating group work, and maintaining clear and accurate clinical notes.
Develop and regularly review individual support and goal plans in collaboration with whai ora / taiohi and their support networks, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
Maintain clear, respectful communication with team members and whai ora / taiohi, ensuring individual needs are well understood and supported.
Contribute to a safe, healthy work environment and support the day-to-day operations of the service in collaboration with leadership.
Build and maintain strong networks with community, mental health, and addiction support services to ensure integrated care.
Provide after-hours or on-call clinical support as required, including contributing to service review meetings and supporting staff with clinical expertise.
This role is full-time working Monday to Wednesday 8.30 am to 5pm and Thursday to Friday 8 : 30am -3pm.
This role is fixed term with an end date of 07 August 2026.
About You | Mou
You will be :
Hold a current annual practicing certificate.
Has a full registration with DAPAANZ.
Meets the requirements of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act (2003).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail, particularly with regard to written documents.
Excellent time management, organisation and file maintenance.
