We're looking for a strategic and inspiring Manager – Digital Engineering in our retail technology business to elevate our technical and engineering capabilities across Digital Sales & Services platforms.ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of Technical Leads, while influencing a wider community of engineers across multiple squads.Establish and uphold engineering standards, ensuring architectural consistency and technical quality across platforms.Define and execute technical strategy that supports brand autonomy and enables faster, decoupled releases and improve speed to value.Champion engineering culture through Dev Guilds, capability uplift, and fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.Influence the tech platform roadmap, aligning engineering initiatives with business goals and modern delivery practices.Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, maintainable, and customer-centric digital solutions.Our Tech EcosystemFrontend : React, Tailwind, StorybookBackend : NestJS, AWS (Lambda, Microservices)Tooling : NewRelic, Playwright, GitHub Copilot, Nx, RsPackOu Pukenga | About YouProven experience leading engineering teams in complex, multi-brand digital environments.Strong technical foundation in modern web technologies and cloud-native architectures.Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable roadmaps.Passion for mentoring and uplifting engineering capability.Experience with platform thinking, federated delivery models, and enabling autonomy at scale.Strong stakeholder management skills and can deal with ambiguity.Applications close on Wednesday, 5 November
