ENGEO is looking for an enthusiastic hydrogeologist to join us!

You'll join a hugely experienced team of specialised water experts, as well as geotechnical engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists.
About This Role
You will design, coordinate, and conduct hydrogeological investigations, perform analysis and modelling on the data, and perform environmental risk evaluations.
This role will be based in Auckland, but you'll have opportunities to work on projects across New Zealand, Australia and the US.
Working directly with a team of hydrogeologists, you'll enjoy a lot of hands-on training, support, and mentorship.

Responsibilities
Coordinate & conduct field investigations
Hydrogeological analysis, design & reporting
Groundwater drawdown, water supply, dewatering, & surface water interaction
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver solutions for clients
You will work on a diverse range of projects including groundwater supply and bore design, dams, landfill and wastewater projects, and hydrogeological support for large vertical construction projects, infrastructure upgrades, and environmental compliance.
Required Experience
About you :
We are looking for someone early in their hydrogeology career - either as a dedicated hydrogeologist or an engineering geologist with significant groundwater experience - and ideally a background in consulting.
You will be proficient in the interpretation of hydrogeological monitoring and testing data, along with the ability to conduct analyses and use analytical modelling tools.
Prior experience with numerical modelling software (2D or 3D) is beneficial however not a prerequisite.

Is Someone Who is Hungry, Humble, and Smart
1-3 years hydrogeology experience
Ability to design and conduct groundwater field investigations
Understanding of piezometer design, and monitoring / testing regimes
Experience in assessment of groundwater diversion for brown-field developments
Experience in onsite hydraulic testing and analyses
Hydrogeological modelling experience
Bachelors degree in geology, environmental science, geoscience, or similar
