We have the opportunity for a Rail Operator to join our team based in Kawerau.

Responsibilities
Perform shunting duties : link and unlink wagons, direct train drivers when coupling wagons and locomotives, and place wagons into customer sidings (railway parking tracks).
Conduct safety checks to ensure all vehicles in the train are in a fit state to commence the journey.
Work in a small team and communicate via radio; clear communication skills are essential.
What you will bring (Skills)
You could come from any background, as long as you have had exposure to physical labour where health and safety was central.
Health & Safety is critical in our organisation; you will need a strong safety focus and genuinely care about the well-being of your team and yourself at all times.
Teamwork is second nature; you can easily communicate and build rapport with people from all walks of life.
Full NZ Driver's Licence and own transport.
