Solution Designer / Architect

Overview

Solution Designer / Architect - Contract role. Our client is looking to hire an experienced Solution Designer / Architect to clearly define the technical detailed design of solutions aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction, business needs and allied initiatives. They will understand user and functional requirements in transforming user requirements into actionable solution design plans. This will be a 3-month contract role based in Wellington.

Responsibilities

• Experience in using architecture frameworks and methods
• Experience with OpenShift Container platform
• In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and / or product life cycle
• Able to provide architectural documentation and expertise as tasked by the Product Owner in co-ordination with the Domain Architect and architecture policy and design team
• Ability to document to agreed standards and maintain key architecture artefacts to communicate the solution and promote understanding across teams
• Ability to support certification and accreditation including risk assessment as well as support service designs
• Senior level knowledge and experience in problem assessment and diagnostic techniques
• Ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholder groups across the organisation
• Thorough understanding of agile methodologies
• Identify and analyze interdependencies
