Diamond Takeaway (Remuera) Ltd, based in Auckland, is currently seeking cooks to join our team.

You will work in Auckland.

This is a permanent position, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 working hours per week.

Job description

Inspecting food items to ensure they meet quality standards

Monitoring and adjusting the temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances

Preparing and cooking various dishes

Adding seasoning and flavoring to food during preparation

Dividing food into portions, arranging it on plates, and applying sauces, gravies, and garnishes

Storing food properly in temperature-controlled environments

Preparing meals according to specific dietary needs

Possibly assisting in menu planning and estimating food supply requirements

Possibly providing training to kitchen staff and apprentices

Cooks, seasons, and prepares meals in restaurants, cafeterias, or catering settings

Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the employer

More details about the position

Location : Auckland

Job type : Full-time

Pay rate :

• New Zealand dollars per hour

Days required : shift rotation from Monday to Sunday

Hours per week : At least 30

Job Requirement

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience or a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or an equivalent overseas qualification is required.
