Our electrical and industrial team focuses on electrical engineering and related advisory services in the power systems, control systems and SCADA / Telemetry sectors. Role and responsibilities

As our new Principal Electrical Engineer , you will be responsible for managing a small team of electrical engineers in leading the design, specification and delivery of various electrical projects for our clients. The role focuses on inspiring a group to deliver projects efficiently as well as understanding the client’s needs, performing an independent assessment, then helping your team with specifying solutions and managing the implementation. The work will focus on team management, project management, design review, electrical design and client interface work.

You will also contribute to the planning and design of various projects, including large municipal, commercial onsite, and industrial wastewater & water treatment plants; pump stations; chemical dosing systems; and many other industrial electrical installations.

Our electrical and industrial team is based across Auckland, Hamilton and New Plymouth. This role will be Auckland or Hamilton based.

About you

We are looking for a degree qualified electrical engineer with people management proficiency and a strong capability in the industrial sector. Experience working for a consultancy would be beneficial. We require a team member that is comfortable using their commercial and project management skills to help us deliver projects on time and within budget. The successful candidate will need to be capable of using their analytical mind to solve problems and be able to communicate solutions to their team, clients and stakeholders, while maintaining great relationships.
