Bathurst Resources is New Zealand’s largest coal-specialist mining company. We produce over 2.2 million tonnes of coal each year and proudly employ over 550 people. About 80 percent of our production is used for steel making of which one third is used by local Kiwi steel producers. The Stockton Opencast Mine is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.

About you :

We’re looking for a trade-qualified Electrician with a proactive approach to maintenance. Specifically, an experienced mine site electrician to join our team help us maintain and operate our modern fixed plant and coal handling processing plant.

As an essential member of our crew, you'll be responsible for keeping our fixed plant running smoothly. Your commitment to safety and environmental best practices will be key to success in this role.

What We're Looking For :

• The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of maintenance processes and process control.
• A firm commitment to safety and environmental best practices.
• Experience maintaining fixed plant equipment on mine sites is a big advantage.
• 9-day fortnights, 10-hour shifts.
