About the Roles
We currently have an opening in our team for Registered Nurses with a passion for Mental Health nursing.
In Raranga Tahi you will be working in a collaborative model with a non-government organisation, you will be working alongside Taura-here who provide the cultural lens of the team.
The hours of work are Wednesday to Saturday 10am 10 pm.
You will provide community based acute support to facilitate early discharge from Tumanako (inpatient unit) and acute support to circumvent admission.
About the Team / Service / Location
Raranga Tahi and Whangarei Acute Spectrum Specialist Services (WASSS) are a group of community-based teams that provide acute specialist assessment and treatment for new and existing clients within Health New Zealand Te Tai Tokerau Mental Health and Addictions service.
We are a close whanau that works collaboratively and genuinely care about each other.

About you
NZ registered nurse with a current practicing certificate
Two years experience in acute and / or Kaupapa-led community mental health practice working with tangata whaiora and their whanau living with the effects of mental illness in our community
Be a Duly Authorised Officer or be willing to work towards the same
Proven ability to communicate well with tangata whaiora, their whanau and colleagues, and engage Maori in making choices that enhance their wellbeing
A current, full NZ drivers licence
