About the Role
This newly created Category & Demand Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of data and forecasting within a leading FMCG brand. Reporting to the Category & Demand Manager, you’ll be the analytical engine behind category performance, forecasting, and demand planning — partnering across multiple teams to drive commercial outcomes. This position is perfect for someone who loves numbers and insights, thrives in a fast‑paced FMCG environment, and enjoys turning complex data into clear business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as super user for internal and external data sources (Circana, Quantium, DunnHumby, IQVIA) to monitor business and category performance.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to track sales and KPIs.
- Identify category trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support Business Managers with category reviews, pricing, and promotional analysis.
- Contribute to range optimisation and shelf planning decisions.
- Deliver data‑driven insights that inform strategic planning.
- Support greater use of AI analytical tools across the business.
Demand
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align forecasts, risks, and opportunities, ensuring accurate monthly Demand Reviews.Manage forecasting tools (CauselF) to maintain baselines and correct errors or shifts.Conduct scenario planning for promotions and provide data‑led recommendations.Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data inputs (historical sales, promotions, seasonality).Drive improvements to forecasting processes and data collection systems.About You
18 months-2 years’ experience in a data, insights, or commercial analyst role — ideally within FMCG, retail, or a related sector.Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.Experience working with Power BI, Excel, and syndicated data sets (Circana, Quantium, DunnHumby, Nielsen).Experience using or exposure to forecasting tools.Excellent communication skills with the ability to tell a story through data.High attention to detail and comfortable working across multiple data sources.A proactive problem‑solver who enjoys collaborating across functions.Comfortable in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.A tertiary qualification in business, data analytics, economics, or a related field.What’s On Offer
