The school is seeking an outstanding professional to join their team.Role structure and allocationRole structure and allocation (1.0 FTE)Key responsibilities and leadershipThe successful applicant will work closely with the Principal and two Deputy Principals (who are out of the classroom).1.

Leadership and team managementTeam leader : The LSC takes on a formal leadership role as the direct manager / leader for the 13 learning assistants.

This requires strong organisational and relationship-building skills to manage a large support team.Building capability : Building teacher capability to meet diverse learning needs and supporting an inclusive approach for students with high behaviour needs and / or neurodiversity.Collaboration : Working within the Kahui Ako with other LSCs, and closely with key staff (Kaiako / Teachers, SENCO / INCO, Tumuaki / Principals).

Coordination : Coordinating with outside agencies for timely resources and interventions, and partnering with whanau to strengthen learning support pathways.Data and systems : Analysing data to inform practice and contributing to school-wide inclusive learning strategies.3.

ORS teacher responsibilities (0.2 FTE)Providing targeted support and teaching for students who have high and very high needs funded through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS).
