Join to apply for the Machine Operator - Coil Shop role at Temperzone.OverviewWe're looking for 2 Machine Operators to join our sub-assembly lines, one in Coil Shop and another in Sheetmetal.
Both positions are for the afternoon shift (3 : 15pm - 11 : 15pm).
ResponsibilitiesCoil Shop : Determine the size of coils and adjust tooling; select appropriate dies for pressing and expansion tasks; adjust tooling for bending tasks; load programs into the Logic Processor; select jobs from the job sheet; identify and cross-check drawings with fin spacing and fin length; measure the length and fin space of coils; make adjustments to meet specifications; change tooling to suit specific requirements; read and interpret technical drawings, including circuits, headers, and hairpin end plates.Sheetmetal : Setting up and monitoring machines according to guidelines; making adjustments and recovering from breakdowns; performing regular TPM as required; selecting jobs and identifying drawings, cross-checking with programs; forming work queues and loading raw materials using a forklift; transporting finished products to the next operation using a forklift or hoist; measuring dimensions, angles, and rotations, making adjustments as needed; changing tooling and identifying correct drawings; understanding and complying with safety and environmental policies; reporting and resolving safety issues, and contributing to improved practices.QualificationsExperience with sheetmetal / coil machinery in a manufacturing settingAbility to interpret engineering drawings and dimensionsStrong understanding of safe work practicesGood team player with reliable attendanceBenefitsAfternoon shift allowanceHealth insurance cover : Hospital Select Base Plan + 3 GP VisitsEmployee Assistance Program – free counselling and wellbeing supportDiscounted rate for employee purchases of heat pump productsLong service recognition at 12 yearsFunded education for your children at 7 years of serviceCareer growth and stability working for a successful privately owned NZ companyHow To ApplyFollow the steps which take you to our external link to answer a few brief questions.We aim to get in touch with you within 2 weeks following the submission of your application.Priority given to candidates with a New Zealand driver's license, reliable transport, and work eligibility
