The appointee will be expected to coordinate and deliver courses in environmental data analysis, modelling, and Geographical Information Science.Job Description : The role will involve teaching and learning focus on environmental data analysis, modelling, and Geographical Information Science.
The appointee will be expected to contribute to teaching elsewhere in our undergraduate programme and ensuring students gain practical experience with spatial analysis, data processing, and modelling.Course coordination, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment designLecturing, teaching tutorials, marking, advising, pastoral care of students, and course administrationRequirements : A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (a doctorate is preferred)Experience in teaching at secondary or tertiary level, with a student-focused approachA strong background in environmental scienceExpertise in teaching and learning practices, including curriculum and assessment designExcellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a commitment to equity and inclusionWhat we offer : The University of Auckland is New Zealand's leading university and maintains significant computational, laboratory and analytic facilities.
