This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our organisation, driving financial efficiency, and providing valuable financial insights to support strategic decision-making.There Are Several Key Accountabilities In This Role, IncludingBuilding relationships and a deep understanding of the portfolio to deliver trusted, valued, forward-looking and proactive financial adviceProviding quality management advice, budgeting and forecasting support to managersTranslating business plans into financial plans and delivering high quality, valued analysis and sound adviceUnderstanding the cost of delivering products and services and performing detailed analysis on options, including long term impacts to the businessProviding support for detailed costings and analysis for strategic planning, Budget Bids, Cabinet papers and business casesUndertaking analysis that identifies key risks and opportunitiesContributing to the provision of advice on technical accounting issues including Public Finance ActThis Role Would Suit Someone Who Can BringTertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or BusinessCAANZ Chartered Accountant qualification (or equivalent) preferredProven experience in business facing senior management accounting rolesStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex messages clearly, simply and conciselyStrong attention to detail in delivering financial analysisThe ability to build relationships and manage diverse stakeholder interests, and to confidently engage with a wide range of individuals and groupsExposure to financial modelling and complex financial analysisHave familiarity with, or a commitment to learn and understand, Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Ao and Te Reo Maori.Demonstrated or encouraged diversity and inclusion in and / or outside of work.What you bring | Nou te rourouWe understand transferable skills can come from experience gained from outside of work.
