With offices in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, and New York, we're on a mission to take Ideally global.About the roleWe're looking for a Lead Product Manager to lead and scale our product that has native AI agentic capabilities at its core.
This is a high-impact role where you'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI, engineering, and user experience, driving the strategy and execution of a product that's reshaping how research delivers insights into businesses.You'll lead a Product Owner and collaborate as part of a product group between our research domain experts, product design lead, and engineering.
This role requires someone who thrives on complexity, has a strong technical foundation, and is deeply customer-centric.What you'll be doingProblem Identification : Act as the first responder to complex, ambiguous product challenges—framing them into clear, validated problems worth solving.Strategic thinking : Work closely with domain experts (our researcher experts, customer success, or sales) deeply understand customer workflows, pain points, and opportunities for AI-driven solutions.
Look for ways to codify what people have traditionally delivered.Solution Design : Collaborate with product designers to conceptualize and prototype solutions that are intuitive and impactful.
Be thinking about full-stack AI solutions, not just a regular SaaS approach.Technical Collaboration : Work closely with engineering to evaluate technical trade-offs, define requirements, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Write lean discovery briefs and product requirement documentation that clarifies context, goals, constraints, and success signals.AI fluent : Be fluent in AI concepts (e.g., agentic workflows, automation, machine learning) to effectively communicate with technical teams and stakeholders.Leadership : Lead and mentor a Product Owner, ensuring they're empowered to drive parts of product development and execution.
Lead early-stage discovery sprints to validate desirability, feasibility, and value.Strong Collaborator : Foster strong collaboration across cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and research.Data-Driven Decision Making : Use analytics and customer feedback to measure the success of features and make product decisions.A bit about you : 7-10 years experience in product management, product discovery, UX strategy, or consulting roles.You've grown rapidly in your career but are still very much hands on rather than spending most of your time managing others.Technical fluency - while coding isn't required, you should have a strong understanding of AI concepts, APIs, and technical architecture to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.You thrive in ambiguity and love bringing structure where others see noise.
You're comfortable taking steps forward without clear answers through hypothesis-driven iteration.Can think in systems but explain with stories.Clearly articulate requirements through documents and user stories for different audiences.Enjoy whiteboarding with designers and engineers alike.Curiosity about the future - especially around AI, automation, and the evolving SaaS landscapeA growth mindset - you continuously stretch yourself, improve, and use AI in daily workflows.Why join Ideally?
