Job Description
In this newly created Product Practice Manager role at VTS, you'll lead a talented team of Product Owners and Business Analysts to deliver capabilities that truly make a difference for our customers.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of product delivery at Vector.
Working closely with the wider product practice and technology teams, you'll guide your team through every stage of the product lifecycle—from discovery and development to enhancement and support.
You'll champion cross-functional collaboration, role-model behaviours that build trust, and ensure your team is equipped to tackle the challenges of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
Key responsibilities
Lead a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts, supporting their growth and career progression.
Drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of product delivery processes and standards in partnership with Technology and Delivery teams.
Embed robust Quality Assurance practices in close collaboration with domain specialists from our Product and Technology teams.
Coordinate assignments, prioritisation and planning of our work, including delivering new capabilities, platform maintenance and professional services engagements.
Facilitate big-room planning events.
Champion consistency, cohesion and trust within the team and in our interactions with others.
About you
Proven experience in product management serving external customers, including quality assurance.
Demonstrated success in hiring, mentoring and retaining talent, with line management of teams greater than five.
Experience managing contract and fixed-term teams, including vendor / service provider engagements.
Successful change-management experience, especially in software delivery and cross-functional processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you bring clarity to complex ideas and engage audiences at every level.
A track-record of building and maintaining high-performing teams in scaling environments.
The ability to enable others, bring people on the journey and support the business to scale and grow.
Familiarity with electrification, smart metering and electricity distribution is desirable but not essential.
Hands-on experience with software development practices; cloud-native architecture, infrastructure-as-code or CI / CD is highly desirable.
