Are you passionate about supporting young people's wellbeing?
We are looking for a qualified guidance counsellor (or working towards registration) to work within our restorative practice school.
In this role, your focus will be working with senior students, supporting their growth and success within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
You will be passionate about working with young people and be able to manage your workflow to thrive in a busy school environment.
You will have the discernment to balance therapeutic support within a school context, working collaboratively within the school's pastoral team.
A commitment to a culturally responsive model that ensures all students feel valued, understood, and supported in a way that respects their unique cultural backgrounds.
Ideal candidates will :
Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counselling
Be a full member of NZAC
Bring experience working with youth, ideally within a secondary education setting
Be skilled at advocating for students and maintaining confidentiality
Work well within a counselling team and build strong working relationships with students and staff
Have experience facilitating group counselling or psychoeducational programmes.
