At DGC, we manufacture exceptionally high-quality and well-regarded infant formulas, feeding babies and supporting families all over the world.About the Role : The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality materials to meet business needs.
This role involves executing end-to-end procurement activities, including materials planning, supplier relationship management, price negotiations, and ensuring compliance with DGC's standards and requirements.
The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in enabling the company to meet customer expectations and market demands through timely and cost-effective sourcing.About the day-to-day responsibilities : Lead and support raw material and packaging procurement.Forecasting DGC material requirements and placing orders with vendors.Carry out inventory controls.Managing vendor performance.Provide operational and administrative support activities.Contribute to continuous improvement activities.Contribute to and participate in DGC's Food Safety Programme.What you'll bring to the role : Tertiary qualification desirable.Practical experience in supply-chain operations or procurement.Knowledge of FMCG operations.Extensive experience in the FMCG sector.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Interpersonal skills and a team player.Strategic relationship management experience.Ability to analyse risks, anticipate challenges, and plan mitigation.What's in it for you : Progressive organisation.Competitive market salary.Discretionary annual bonus.Employee Benefit Insurance (income protection, trauma, and health).
