Are you a motivated classroom teacher ready to grow your leadership skills? We're looking for an as sistant curriculum leader to join our junior faculty curriculum leadership team for 2026. This role supports subject planning, resourcing, and delivery across all Y7 or 8 homerooms, working closely with the curriculum leader and head of faculty.
You’ll help maintain planning systems, assist with collaborative unit design, and ensure alignment with Mahurangi’s structured and knowledge-rich curriculum. This is an ideal stepping stone into leadership — with support to develop confidence, capability, and clarity in a high-performing team.
You’ll also teach your own homeroom class, bringing day-to-day insight and practical leadership to the role

This position will commence at the start of term 1, 2026.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $61,329 to $103,086 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
