Overview

Teacher of itinerant music - singing (Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to : 0.2). Start Date : 28 / 01 / 2026. End Date : 27 / 01 / 2027. Location : Howick College, Auckland.

Responsibilities

• Provide four hours per week as a vocal tutor for Howick College’s music program for 2026.
• Prepare NCEA Level 1 to 3 students for solo and group performance assessments.
• Collaborate with the wider music department, encourage all students, communicate effectively, and support ongoing development of vocalists.
• Teach a wide variety of music styles and tutor vocal ensembles; adapt to student needs.
• Possess current teacher registration, LAT, or be willing to apply for a LAT.
• The ability to accompany students in performances on piano and / or guitar is desirable.
