Senior Management Accountant

Job descriptionPrepare, analyze and deliver annual operating budgets and forecasts. Provide financial insights to support strategic and business planning. Lead month-end processing and variance analysis. Deliver financial reports to Board-level standard. Provide financial training and support to managers and internal customers. Evaluate financial requirements for new projects and support business case development. Provide financial advice and reporting on operating and capital projects. He korero mou : We're seeking someone who is not only technically strong but also a great communicator and collaborator. A relevant tertiary qualification and Chartered Accountant status (CAANZ or equivalent). Proven experience preparing operating and capital budgets. Strong knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act. Strong project accounting experience across capital and operational budgets. Excellent relationship-building skills, especially with non-accountants. Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, SUMIF, lookups). Experience with mid-size financial systems (TechnologyOne preferred). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisation and time management.
